Patient Specific 3D Models

At CSIE, we’re excited to use our high-resolution 3D printers, which can create stunning prints in various colors and materials! These fantastic tools help us make custom components for our experimental setups, but we also love using them to create personalized 3D models for surgical planning. These models provide clear, tangible representations of intricate anatomy, making it easier for clinical teams to prepare for those challenging procedures.

We’re currently conducting a study to explore how these models influence surgical planning, operative time, teamwork among different specialties, and communication during surgery. Our focus is on complex, multi-day procedures that require seamless collaboration among various surgical teams.
